So, why no throbbing headache accompanied with a grey pallor over the rest of your day? There’s a new party craze that leaves you energized instead of drained, happy instead of hung over, and adds a healthy twist to having a party. Try it out with this great deal that will have you stretching your legs and not your budget!

Invite your friends to a Yoga Party hosted by Emily Hoyt, owner of The Modern Yogi in Derry. Emily will come to your home, workplace, or any other location you choose to provide. Options for this promotion include:

• $59 for a party of up to 6 people (up to a $115 value)
• $89 for a party of up to 10 people (up to a $175 value)

All you need to do is write-up the invitations, get a few healthy snacks, and Emily will do the rest!

Are you and your friends Yoga noobs or longtime aficionados? No worries – Emily has three different levels of party to choose from:

• GENTLE: A slow-paced flow, this class allows students to enjoy deep stretching through slow and relaxing movement sequences, including restful reclining and seated poses. These restorative poses are often sustained to allow adequate time for muscles to open. Props such as blocks and blankets are often used in these classes. This class is recommended for students who prefer a minimal physical exercise experience.
• BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE: This vinyasa yoga class will introduce students to common poses and basic flow sequences. Students will move through poses at a steady, yet comfortable pace, and classic Sun Salutations will be explored. More challenging options will also be offered during this class. This class requires moderate physical activity, and students will get a good workout!
• ADVANCED: Students can expect to move swiftly through flow sequences in this class. More challenging positions will be offered, including balance and strength poses, though modifications will also be offered. This class will require moderate to heavy physical exercise, and is recommended for students who have some previous experience with yoga.

After turning to yoga as a means of stress relief and self-expression while studying at the University of New Hampshire, she studied vinyasa flow and hatha yoga under Daniel Orlansky and Liz Owen at Yoga of Energy Flow in Arlington, Massachusetts. After graduating in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in English/Journalism, Emily soon realized that she was called toward a more colorful and grounding lifestyle, and thus The Modern Yogi studio came into being.
