Christmas at Canterbury, held annually, allows visitors to Canterbury Shaker Village to experience the delights of Christmas in a simpler era. Join us inside the historic Shaker buildings to watch an old-time 19th Century magic show, meet Santa and costumed characters, make Christmas cards for loved ones, decorate gingerbread cookies, create ornaments for your Christmas tree, admire a toy train display or listen to fiddlers. Enjoy hot cider and singing Christmas carols as we light the Village Christmas tree. This classic holiday event is a family favorite that will become a yearly tradition!

Through an exclusive promotion with Couptopia, you can experience this wonderful holiday event with friends and loved ones at up to half price. For the December 3 event, you can get adult tickets for $9 each ($18 value) and children’s tickets (ages 6-17) are $4 each ($8 value). For the December 10 event, adults tickets are $10 ($18 value) and children's tickets are $5 ($8 value). Children 5 and under will be admitted free of charge.

Canterbury Shaker Village is dedicated to preserving the 200-year legacy of the Canterbury Shakers and to providing a place for learning, reflection, and renewal of the human spirit. Visitors are encouraged to learn about the life, ideals, values, and history of the Canterbury Shakers through tours, programs, exhibits, research, and publications. The National Historic Landmark includes 25 restored original and four reconstructed Shaker buildings, and 694 acres of forests, fields, gardens, nature trails, and mill ponds under permanent conservation easement. The Village café offers simple lunch fare and the Museum Store features unique gifts and wares handmade by regional artists.
